Sick, but still yearning to learn

I've been sick for several days now. It was challenging over the weekend as hubby was away on a camp trip and I was home sick with two little ones. Now they are both sick. Anyway, amongst the chaos this weekend I got to watch a girl movie "Georgia Rule". Not sure if I liked it or not. It was a dark movie. But sometimes we have to face those not so fun issues. I also got the itch to learn to knit. I don't know what is up with me lately but I seem to jump around to different crafts wanting to learn new techniques. This is from a "Learn to Knit" kit that my mom got me as a gift a couple of years ago. So I can cast on and knit as you can see. I've also practiced pearl(ing) and knitting off. It will be interesting when I get to the part of this scarf where I have to alternate knitting and pearling. I'm not sure I can keep track!

For now I need to go take care of my kiddos. I'm going to give them baths. That always makes me feel a little better when I'm sick.

I'm so sorry y'all are sick and certainly hope recovery is soon to come. That's actually how I got into knitting, too. I was recovering from knee surgery and had prepared with a how-to book, yarn, and needles. I don't do any fancy kind of knitting but I have fun with my little projects.

I make a cheat sheet so I don't get lost in a pattern. It helps me know exactly where I am and on what row.

Hope you are all on the mend soon!

Aww, so sorry to hear that you AND the kiddos are sick--that's no fun at all.

I think your knitting looks great--especially for a teach yourself attempt! Good for you. New soft and warm scarves for everyone!

Smiles, Karen
