All Over the Place

Sinnce I don't have any one interesting thing to post about, I will just show you a mish mash of little things going on in my little world. Meanwhile I am still not feeling well. Today is the scratchy, coughy throat, headache and shakiness. Hello perpetual seasonal illness, it's so not good to see you again!

Last night Jason went to a Chicago Area Camera Club where they had a photo contest. Both Jason and I had submitted several photos. One of his got Honorable Mention! Mine didn't do so well, but they are still sending 2 of them on to another contest. I couldn't go because I had a teen mom dinner and workshop to attend.

I don't know why I don't blog much about my cats. But I thoroughly enjoy both of them. Of course the kitten is so much fun and new. Very playful and sweet. She's growing so fast too!

I've gotten a few new fun goodies lately to create with...

I copied an image from a door mat I saw in a Crate and Barrel catalog to make this Halloween shirt for Ella.

I completed my "new pillows for family room couch" project to add color to the room. Our old pillows were the same color as the couch, they came with the couch and were starting to look quite beat up. I used them as forms for the new pillows (shhh).

I am seriously thinking of doing a tutorial for making a pillow (such as the above) with the piped edging.  I took pics of about everything along the way except slip stitching the opening left to insert the pillow form.  I thought about asking if anyone would even be interested, but actually I wonder if it is something that people would be able to find doing a search.  So that maybe a tutorial would reach more people than just my readers.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I love following all your crafts. And I'd love the tutorial of the pillow with piping, though AFTER our wedding please. hahaha. And that's not a bad idea to use the pillows that come with all couches as forms for new pillows. I like the way you think!

Love all your projects you've been working on. I especially like the color of the pillow you made. I have never liked machine sewing. Hand sewing I enjoy every now and then, but a sewing machine and I just do not get along.
