Kristi, are you really moving south?? Oh girl, you are in for a lot of changes. Now, LA is a place all its own from what I know about it, so it might be a lot different there than it is in B'ham where I live. Everyone will know you are not from here when you talk, of course, but in general Southerners are very nice and welcoming, so that shouldn't be a problem. I don't know all that much about Baton Rouge, although 2 of my hubby's kids go to school and work there. He doesn't care for Baton Rouge, I know that. LA is a little different in culture than the other surrounding South, that's what I've heard. Not sure at all about it. But, AL and GA are great places to live in the South, as are many other Southern cities. Do you have a choice where you can go?
This sounds exciting! If you want to talk more, email me! I'll be glad to fill you in on what I know. And yes, you'll need to get rid of all that snow stuff. We hardly ever see ANY snow down here. It's really hot and humid in summer too, as I'm sure you've heard. That's one of the downsides.
4 ripples:
I love it! You do really beautiful work. Your blog is cute, too. I'm trying to link to blogs in all 50 states, and you are my Illinois blog!
I couldn't resist... I had to peek. WOW!! Better than I imagined- the fabrics are spectacular. Can't wait to get it. :)
OOOOH I LOVE IT!!!!!!! Very impressive...I think you're destined to be the next Kate Spade!
I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you on the bag yet...I don't even have a good excuse. I will though...promise!
